the Shih Tzu!

every once in a while, i am going to put fact about a dog breed.  here is my first.


the Shih Tzu



    the Shih Tzu is, by my thinking, one of the cutest types of dog.  lively, sturdy and most of all cute these little dogs rank number 11 on the akc.  they can have their hair long, short or show. here is some info on how the Shih Tzu might be right for you. 




       Purpose.  every dog has a purpose.  their  purpose is solely to love you!  sure, they'll bark like crazy if someones at the door, but they will be giving out kisses in seconds.

 ENVIRONMENT:   the Shih Tzu is a house dog, but he is perfectly fine living on the 34th floor of an apartment building or on the farm chasing chickens.



         MAINTENANCE:   sure, they give you abounding love, but it needs to be returned.  Shih Tzu need weekly baths and like to have their faces washed and fur combed every day.

       Exercise. they love it if you take them for walks, but if you can't they'll just chase over and under the furniture and get their own.

something very tragic.

i have not told you this, but, i do not have a dog.  i do not even have a pet! by know you probably know i am crazy about dogs, but i don't have one.  i have been looking to volunteer at a shelter to get more experience and responsibility to get a dog.

dog breeds.

i know most of you know what a dog breed is, but i would like to retell you and give you a list of my favorites. 

dog breeds are a name for the many variants of dogs.  there are tiny, 6 pound chihuahuas, in-between 50-pound Aussie sheperds, and 150 pound mastiffs.  they vary so much!
